Support

Something not working, or a question we haven't answered here? Email contactus@themathmaker.co.uk and a real person will reply — usually within two working days.

When you email us, it helps to include:

  • the email address you signed up with
  • the phone or tablet you're using (for example, “Android, Honor 90”)
  • what you expected to happen, and what happened instead

Free trial and subscriptions

Every family starts with a 14-day free trial — the whole app, no card needed to begin. After that, one subscription covers every child in the family.

Subscriptions are billed by Google Play or the Apple App Store, not by us. To change or cancel, use your store account:

  • Android: Play Store → your profile → Payments and subscriptions → Subscriptions
  • iPhone/iPad: Settings → your name → Subscriptions

Cancelling stops the next payment; you keep access until the period you've paid for ends.

I paid, but the app still asks me to subscribe

Open the app, go to the Progress tab and tap Restore purchases. This re-checks your subscription with the store. Make sure you're signed in to the same store account that made the purchase.

If it still doesn't unlock, email us and we'll sort it out.

Using the app on more than one device

Your subscription follows your account, not your device. Sign in with the same email on any phone or tablet and everything — children, progress, stars — is there. There is no device limit, and no extra charge for a second device.

More than one child

One subscription covers your whole family. Add each child in the Progress tab; each gets their own world, their own progress and their own rewards. Switch between them from the same tab.

The parent PIN

You can set a 4-digit PIN in Progress → Parent PINso children can't wander into settings, rewards or your subscription. It's asked for once each time the app starts.

Forgotten it?Email us from your account address and we'll clear it for you. It is a child-deterrent lock, not a password — it doesn't protect your account, so nothing is at risk if a child guesses it.

Changing a child's year group or world

Both can be changed at any time. Worlds are purely a costume: switching keeps every star, streak and secured topic, and only changes the look of the app and the stories in the word problems.

Deleting a child, or your whole account

One child: in the Progress tab, select the child and remove their profile. Their name, progress and rewards are deleted straight away.

Your whole account: email contactus@themathmaker.co.uk from the address you signed up with, with the subject “Delete my account”. We will delete your account and all associated data — parent account, every child profile, learning history and rewards — within 30 days, and confirm when it's done.

Deleting your data does not cancel your subscription: cancel that in your store account (see above), or you may continue to be billed.

Accessibility

In Progress → Settingsfor each child you'll find larger text, a dyslexia-friendly font, and reduced motion. If your child needs something we don't offer yet, please tell us — we take these requests seriously.

Privacy and your data

Children never have accounts, we show no advertising, and we use no third-party tracking. The full detail is in our app privacy policy.

Still stuck? Email contactus@themathmaker.co.uk — we read every message.
